Garden Renovation at the Warm Haven for Orthodox Girls

PROJECTS | Community Development

Who you will help

The Warm Haven is a safe after-school center, offering therapy and structure for youth at risk of becoming marginalized. In Be'er Sheva, there are six Warm Havens but only one intended for religious girls. The program offers professional counseling to orthodox girls struggling with behaviorial problems, mental health and potentially dangerous situations. It provides a more positive alternative to after-school care with educational support for a safer and healthier future. There are also programs for mothers and daughters to participate together, strengthening their often-strained relationships through counseling and professional help.

Your donation will fund

Currently, the yard is concrete and grey, with no activities or elements of play. The garden project will provide proper seating areas, beautiful landscaping, and a safer perimeter. With your support, the Warm Haven will transform its outdoor space into a more welcoming place for the girls - to exercise and engage in healthy activities in a dignified and inspiring atmosphere.

Location

Be'er Sheva is the largest city in the Negev Desert, and the fourth most populated in Israel.
