Who you will help

Vertigo Dance Company, situated in the Vertigo Eco-Art Village, is an intercultural, vibrant space for dance and movement, using Vertigo's ecological and social ideologies to foster artistic and spiritual creativity through dance. Inspired by the unique atmosphere of the Elah Valley, professional dancers rehearse and perform, and offer professional training for dancers from around the world. They host 50,000 visitors a year. It is also home to two important programs: Vertigo Meeting Point is a n international training program that cultivates Jewish-Arab dialogue and personal connections through artistic expression, run in partnership with Masa-Israel. Power of Balance Center is a unique mix-ability program for people with and without disabilities. Using movement as communication, Power of Balance empowers people with disabilities by creating a new language- dance- for expression and connection. Power of Balance was awarded the Ruderman Award for Disabilities in 2012 and the Genesis Prize Foundation-Itzhak Perlman in 2017.

About Vertigo Dance Company

The Vertigo Dance Company is a registered nonprofit organization founded in 1998 by dancers Noa Wertheim and Adi Sha'al. It has since established itself as a multi-faceted platform for artistic innovation, spiritual enlightenment and socio-ecological activism. Prior to the onset of Covid 19 Vertigo staged over 100 performances, all over the world, and at least one premiere every year, both in intimate settings and at major cultural events, in Israel and abroad. These works echoed both local and global issues through the study of movement, space and the language of human bodies.
