Who you will help
Despite being the "Start-Up Nation", more than 25% of Israeli society (particularly in Jerusalem) lack access to technology and are technologically illiterate. In an effort to bridge the digital divide through technology and personal empowerment, Jerusalem-based Machshava Tova is upgrading its Mobile Technology Lab - a van equipped with computers that reaches various neighbourhoods. The van travels to residences and neighborhoods with a professional instructor conducting lessons. JNF Canada seeks to outfit an additional van to reach Jerusalem's poorest and most vulnerable communities, among them kindergarten-aged children, the ultra-Orthodox sector, abused women in shelters, people with disabilities residing in treatment centers, senior citizens in nursing homes and more. The Lab will be tailored to meet the specific needs of the community.
