Plaque ceremony for new after-school playground in Tel Aviv
Along with celebrating Israel's 75th anniversary, JNF was thrilled to celebrate Joel Maser (Toronto) receiving his plaque, on behalf of the Maser family, at the Jaffa Daled Payground in Tel Aviv.
At the Jaffa Daled After-School Education Centre, 85% of the children are of Ethiopian decent, and receive encouraging, structured and culturally appropriate support after school. The centre needed to expand to serve a growing population, as well as transform the empty yard into a space for safe outdoor play.
Joel and his family's support allowed the Jaffa Institute to transform the outdoor play space into an age-appropriate outdoor recreational facility with safe, rubber flooring, challenging climbing equipment, swings, and other accessible and engaging play equipment.
